Reduced Cost Therapy Program at CHR

At the Center for Hope and Renewal Therapy (CHR), we believe everyone deserves equal and accessible mental health care. When you’re struggling and in need of support, the last thing you should worry about is whether you can afford treatment.

Our reduced-cost therapy program is designed to support individuals who fall into the “in-between.” This may include situations such as:

You have insurance, but your out-of-pocket costs are still unmanageable.

  • You do not currently have insurance.
  • You are already working with a CHR therapist but are experiencing, or expect to experience, a lapse in coverage.
  • You face other financial or coverage challenges that make standard therapy costs difficult to manage.

Program Structure

Clients accepted into this program are authorized for an initial 8 weeks of therapy. During this time, you and your therapist will work collaboratively to identify your mental health goals and begin working toward them.

Near the end of the 8-week period, you and your therapist will review your progress and discuss whether continued services are clinically appropriate. If an extension is recommended, CHR will request updated financial documentation to reassess financial need. Extensions are granted in 3-week increments based on both clinical and financial eligibility.

Required Documentation

To qualify for CHR’s reduced-cost therapy program, we ask that you provide:

A written summary describing your current financial situation.

Your last four pay stubs (if applicable).

We invite you to begin with a complimentary consultation to discuss your goals and learn how therapy can support your mental health and long-term well-being. Reach out today to connect with a licensed therapist in Jersey City, Hoboken, Millburn, Queens, Brooklyn, or New York City.

Fees and Availability

If you are accepted into the program, CHR will work with you to determine a per-session fee that is financially manageable for you.

Please note that space is limited, and services are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. If the program is full, you may choose to join our waitlist, and we will contact you as soon as a spot becomes available.
