Eliza is a bilingual (English and Haitian Creole) Licensed Associate Counselor with experience serving adolescents and adults with a wide range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, grief, and loss. She also specializes in assisting individuals through major life transitions, PTSD/Trauma, OCD, ADHD, and more.
The guiding philosophy of Eliza's practice is that "This is your journey and you are the expert of your own life; She is simply walking alongside you". With the foundation of this therapeutic philosophy, Eliza utilizes a multitude of methodologies with her clients to suit each of their individual needs. Some of her preferred approaches are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, and Gestalt Therapy, in addition to other client-led approaches.
As a therapist, Eliza aims to provide a safe space for her clients where they are able to feel comfortable, safe, and understood. She intends to create a place in which her clients are empowered enough to face what may be otherwise intimidating to do on their own. Eliza's goal is to have each client take back their power and write their own story as they please and see fit to do so. Eliza is thrilled to work side by side with her clients to face the challenges the future may hold together.
