Cynthia is a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) with experience providing counseling to children, adolescents, and adults. She has supported individuals navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, major life transitions, behavioral struggles, family-related stressors, and school issues. Her background as a school counselor has given her specialized experience working with children with ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, and other developmental or emotional needs, while collaborating with families to develop strategies that promote emotional regulation, resilience, and positive communication at home. Cynthia is an allied clinician with experience supporting the LGBTQIA+ community, as well as individuals and families from all races, ethnicities, religions, cultures, and ages.

Grounded in a person-centered approach, Cynthia tailors therapy to meet each client’s unique goals and strengths. She utilizes an eclectic approach that blends Solution-Focused Therapy with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients challenge unhelpful thought patterns, build resilience, and make meaningful changes in their lives.

Cynthia values the therapeutic alliance in all stages of her work. She actively strives to create an empathic, accepting, and validating space in which clients emotions are felt, processed, and honored. She believes that therapy is not a “one size fits all” approach, rather it should meet each client’s individual needs. Cynthia truly loves the work she does and is dedicated to helping clients change their narratives to live a more enlightened life.

Cynthia is of the opinion that ‘behind every behavior is a feeling and behind every feeling is a need.’ Once we look within, awareness can begin so lessons can be learnt. Cynthia has witnessed individuals through the process of therapy gain personal freedom, experience improved mental well-being, and a deeper connection with their true self.

In session, Cynthia strives to create a warm, supportive environment where clients feel safe, seen, and understood. She believes therapy offers a space to pause, reflect, and reconnect with oneself. Whether you are looking to manage stress, improve symptoms, improve relationships, or navigate a difficult life transition, she will walk alongside you as you take steps toward growth and healing.
